Touchstone helps launch new Forever Friends campaign

Touchstone helps launch new Forever Friends campaign

Following their highly successful campaign to build a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, local charity 'The Forever Friends Appeal' dropped into Touchstone’s Bath office this week to launch their latest campaign. 'RUH space for Cancer Care Campaign' aims to raise £650,000 to purchase a state of the art Gamma-CT Scanner to diagnose some of the myriad types of cancer that can affect us. This latest technology will identify even the earliest abnormality and accurately pinpoint its location for subsequent radiotherapy treatment, A Gamma-CT Scanner also improves the patient experience as they will no longer need to go through two separate, scans.

Cancer affects one in three people in the UK, and the catchment area of the Royal United Hospital is no exception.

The Touchstone Bath Charity Committee has identified the 'RUH space for Cancer Care Campaign' as an exciting opportunity to work closely with an important charity in the community and has showed its support by donating £5,000 to help kick start the new campaign.

Ted (pictured) will be returning to the Bath office on Friday 14th October for 'Ted's Big Day Out!' when staff will be encouraged to bring their own teddy to work and get groovy with this year's 'Flower Power' themed day.
