Ted’s Big Day Out
Touchstone staff recently 'beared' all for the region-wide annual fundraising event 'Ted's Big Day Out! 2011.
Over 50 staff brought their teddies to work and raised over £300.00 through Payroll-giving and donations collected throughout the day. The event even merited a visit from the Mayor of Bath and his wife who enjoyed a short tour of the office before posing for a group photo with staff and their bears (pictured).
Ted's Big Day Out! 2011, was helping to raise funds for Bath's Royal United Hospital new 'Space for Cancer Care Campaign', which aims to purchase a state-of-the-art Gamma-CT Scanner - a vital piece of medical equipment that detects cancers and improves patient experience, as they will no longer need to go through two separate scans.
Touchstone staff including one dressed as a giant banana (also pictured), join the likes of Ross Kemp, Jamie Cullum and even Oscar winning actor Nicolas Cage who have all taken their bears to work for the day in support of the Forever Friends Appeal.
The Charity Committee would like to thank everyone who brought their teddy to work for Ted's Big Day Out! and gave generously towards this close-to-home cause.
